2nd Phase of New Business Intelligence Platform Rollout

Westerly , RI: June 12, 2009 —Washington Trust Wealth Management and UNAPEN, Inc. are pleased to announce the second phase of an enterprise rollout of UNAPEN’s ClientLogix CRM and Business Intelligence platform.

Washington Trust’s Wealth Management division chose UNAPEN’s flagship ClientLogix platform in late 2007 to integrate all of its sales and client service activities across its four wealth management divisions: Washington Trust Investors (WTI), 1800 Asset Management (1800), Weston Financial Group, Inc. (Weston) and Trust & Estate Services. The first phase of the system went live at 1800, WTI and Trust & Estate Services in the spring of 2008.

Galan G. Daukas, Washington Trust executive vice president of Wealth Management, said, “We turned to UNAPEN’s ClientLogix platform and their professional services team to provide this critical solution. They took a great platform and with minimal customization, crafted the exact solution for our business requirements. The first phase was a complete success, paving the way for this next phase.”

The second phase includes implementing ClientLogix at Weston, as well as providing trading support for Smartleaf’s portfolio rebalancing system and integration with Concord Wealth Management’s open architecture platform. The solution consolidates and manages information among the bank’s business units and their external investment platform vendors.

Barbara J. Perino, Washington Trust senior vice president of Operations and Technology, said, “ClientLogix offers a single point of control, in an easy-to-use application. We can consolidate information from many of our existing systems and reduce support overhead, while providing a better experience for our end-users.”

Joe Walker, president and CEO of UNAPEN, said, “Washington Trust recognized the growing need in bank-based wealth management for much more than a traditional CRM can deliver. UNAPEN is thrilled to be at the center of this next generation platform at Washington Trust that will set the benchmark for profitable and successful wealth management businesses of all types.”
